Cookie Notice

This notice explains the cookies and similar technologies that Bokolator uses at https://app.bokolator.com. In short, we only use what is strictly necessary to run the Service: keeping you signed in, remembering your language, and letting the app work offline. We do not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place them through the Service.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (such as session storage and IndexedDB) and service workers, which let a web app keep files and data on your device.

2. What we use

  • Sign-in cookie (sb-…-auth-token, sometimes split into numbered parts): keeps you securely signed in. It is set on our domain by our authentication provider, Supabase, and lasts until you sign out or for up to 400 days, renewing while you use the Service.
  • Language cookie (NEXT_LOCALE): remembers whether you use the app in English or Spanish. It is deleted when you close your browser.
  • Offline database (IndexedDB, “bokolator-offline”): stores a copy of your organization's items and locations, plus any changes made while offline, so the app works without a connection and syncs later. It stays on your device until you clear your browser's site data.
  • Session storage: remembers your search and filter choices on the items list while the tab is open. It is cleared when you close the tab.
  • Service worker and app cache: stores the app's code and files on your device so it loads quickly and works offline. It is kept until the app updates or you clear your browser's site data.

3. Third parties

When you subscribe or manage billing, you are taken to Stripe's own pages, which may set cookies under Stripe's privacy and cookie policies. We do not embed advertising, analytics, or social media trackers.

4. Your choices

Because these technologies are strictly necessary for the Service to work, they do not require your consent and cannot be turned off within the app. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings, but you will be signed out and the app may not work correctly. On shared devices, sign out and clear the site data when you are done.

5. Changes and contact

If we begin using cookies that are not strictly necessary, such as analytics, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where required. Questions? Email support@bokolator.com.
